About

Nareeluck Stephenson is a teacher, former member of the Preschool’s Board of Directors, and alumni parent of two Billy Dalwin graduates!

Nareeluck started as a substitute teacher and member of our afternoon staff before joining our full-time teaching team. She is a gifted artist and enjoys developing what she calls “small world” activities and various forms of sensory-based play. She has created hands-on learning projects, including a dinosaur community, arctic ice painting and sculptures, and co-coordinated a chicken-hatching learning experience for our preschoolers! She especially loved making fairy gardens with the kids in conjunction with a Shakespeare unit she created with her teen daughter (and alumna!).

Nareeluck’s favorite children’s book is The Story of Ferdinand. She says, “It’s a lovely story of just being who you are. Ferdinand’s mother was such an understanding cow, it’s all about family acceptance.”  When asked why she chooses to work with the preschoolers, Nareeluck replied, “I especially appreciate the joy, innocence, and unfiltered commentary of this age group.”

Nareeluck has a B.A. in Economics, an M.A. in European Studies, and an MPP from universities in Bangkok and Singapore. She served as an editor and web manager for World Health News at the Harvard School of Public Health.
