Wipa Khampook

Wipa Khampook is an affectionate, compassionate, and innovative educator with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Thailand and a Master's degree in Creative and Critical Thinking from UMass Boston. With 15 years of teaching experience, including 11 years in early childhood education, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. 

Prior to entering the early childhood education field, Wipa volunteered as a math and science tutor at the Bangkok School for the Blind. She arrived in the United States in

2006 as a student ecxhange participant and later embarked on her career in early childhood education.

Her diverse background encompasses work in traditional preschools, play-based schools, Montessori environments, and schools influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach. Among her favored teaching methodologies are Reggio Emilia and Play-based strategies. 

Wipa's passion for teaching young children is rooted in her belief that the early childhood phase is pivotal for acquiring fundamental life skills. She considers herself an integral part of this developmental journey, noting that young children learn crucial foundations for becoming responsible global citizens, including making friends, expressing emotions through words, sharing, and practicing kindness. She places great emphasis on providing the necessary support and care during this formative period. 

Beyond her teaching endeavors, Wipa enjoys engaging in activities such as singing, artistic pursuits, and interactive play with children. She particularly values open-ended art, viewing it as a means for children to freely express themselves and explore their emotions. During her leisure time, Wipa and her husband indulge in hiking adventures at Mass Audubon parks, fostering her love for the outdoors and her passion for understanding nature.
